I found the library!! And I have my very own library card now! I'll post a picture of it later when I pick it up. Either way, I'm really excited to start taking books out of the library here and renting movies to watch in Spanish. Look at Spain, my language skills are going to improve, watch!
Me and my roommate, Laura. She's the sweetest thing every, I love her
New friends! Sarah, Me, someone who's name I can't remember, and Laura!
A private caseta in Cartaya when we went for the Feria. Caseta's are generally private restaurants where you have to be a member in order to eat there. They're all the rage during Feria's
The beach at Punta Umbria. Honestly, no matter how many times I go I will be stunned by it's beauty.
Look at those smart Spaniards! They pull a shade across the street over the restaurant, so when it's hottest in the middle of the day, everyone can eat their lunch on the street in comfort!
Just a cute building downtown in the center. I love the tiled look, I think it's really just painted brick, but it's still cute
Seriously, they are obsessed with Cristobol Colon here. Every city has a plaza with his statue.
And this, is where I got to go to church on Sunday. Yup, be jealous. It was gorgeous, I was jealous of myself. I love celebrating mass here, it's a bit different, but still pretty awesome. I didn't understand hardly most of the mass, but with time it will get better.
Inside Plaza de Espana where they have a tile set up for pretty much every pro
vince in Spain. They have tiled pictures depicting something important to that province. This is just how they look all in a row.
This is the tiled piece for Huelva! I need to figure out what the piece represents, I need to do some research on my new home!
Just a picture of Plaza de Espana
A couple of us that were hanging out in the shade at Plaza de Espana
Inside the Alcazar in Sevilla. It's the old castle that the king used to live in. He lives in it occasionally, but not very often. It's open to the public when he's not there.
Just a photo of the inside of one of many courtyards that are in there.
A tapestry inside the Alcazar, the map is upside down! To the left you'll see Italy and to the right you'll see Spain. And on top is Africa. They made these maps when they were planning war, I guess that seemed right to them.
These look just like the archways from the Mezquita in Cordoba! That's because they were built in the same time period with la Mezquita in mind
Picture of the beautiful Cathedral at night.
